    20 sounds right. I remember when fuel was $1.00 per gal. It would take 18 to fill it. Does it look like your tank?

    well, according to my 1992 Owners Manual, whether or not it applies, the standard body fuel tank is 13.7 gallons, and the long body/extended cab model is 18.2 gallons.
