Custom seats

I'm sure someone has installed some different seats on here. I'd rather have buckets than a different bench. My bench in my 82 has long seen better days and I'm wanting to replace it. Not sure if this is the right section of the forums though lol.

I rebuilt my bench seat with good results. See "bench seat" thread Fab Shop forum.
Where do you see an interior section?

Here's the thread but it's not quite tutorial material. Going by what members have posted up, Gen 1 and 2 bucket seats are interchangeable which means you can source seat rails from a Gen 2 and then adapt whatever seat you want with some minor mods/fabricating -

Some good info there for sure. I really want to get bucket seats instead of another bench. Comfort and sitting a bit lower would be nice.

I was in the same boat as you. I wanted buckets and I also wanted lower seat height.... Until I installed buckets with a lower seat height! The buckets weren't so bad but the lower seat height made long drives VERY uncomfortable. It put my leg in a very unorthodox and uncomfortable position. (My truck doesn't have cruise control). I retrofitted a bench from a 2015 Hyundai/Kia-SUV and absolutely love it. I can provide some pictures if you are at all interested in seeing the result.
