    '86 D50 minor paint job

My gen 1 got a little bit of a face lift today.
Her grill was faded and had some cracks that I repaired with some fiberglass patching (on the back) not perfect but it is at least structural. The then it got painted.
The side view mirrors were sun bleached and the wiper blades were rusted, so they also got a coat of paint.
The wheels also needed some love. when I got her she came with 3 hubcaps and some mis-matched lug nuts. I cleaned up the wheels and found some black lug nuts to match all the black trim.
    Here's before and after photos:

I'm still working on some more cosmetics (bumper paint, seat covers, tail gate rust issue, etc) but I think she's looking pretty sharp.

Amazing what just a little touch up here and there plus a few minor repairs can do. I wish I could remember where I found factory repro hubcaps for Gen 1's. Add a set of those and some new polished stainless steel trim rings and it would look OG.

It really is the little things that make the difference. A little fresh paint and some good old elbow grease can really make a project look new! Great work!
