looking for help on carb. change
hello ppl. I continue to struggle with problems from my original mikuni carb. No one will touch it. I am looking for a mechanic
in my area with experience on installing a weber carb. I am in Sylacauga Al. would be willing to take truck any reasonable
distance to have the right person work on it. thanks for any advice !

Ok. I got my weber 32/36 from redline. I have got the damn mikuni off may it RIP. I will need help from you guys! I am about to open my
bags that came with carb. I am assuming there are assorted plugs to plug off old stuff. The directions leave a little to be desired. going to clean everything up good and plow ahead. a carpenter by trade I hope I aint got in over my head.

I'm no expert but most of it is pretty obvious. Just remember they gave you a lot of parts to cover different situations and vehicles, you won't need all of them. Ask questions post pictures and good luck!

question. there are 3 things screwed in below the thermostate housing. one is the temp sensor. I know that needs to stay. one is the thermal switch
and the other had 2 vacuum lines on it. do I need to take them out and plug them so they dont create a vacuum leak?

The thermal switches don't have any vacuum in them, so you can just remove the vac hoses to it and leave it untouched. Just cap off the barb/line that came off the manifold to the thermal switch.

I got the webber on and was able to use the mechanical full pump. It seems to work good for now. I wish I had done this 5 years ago when I got the truck. It runs like a scalded dog! Twice the power and pick up. PTL!

You've got lead boots lol. See if you can get a more conservative MPG (it'll be hard, I know. The extra go-go is too appealing not to use...) I would expect 25 MPG or better on highway/cruising speeds. What fuel are you using OOC?
