Just curious if anyone knows where to find new windshield trim for a second gen truck the black coating is peeling on mine and I don't much like the chrome. And if not anyone have any luck painting them?

Try a spray can of epoxy paint? You will probably need to etch the polished trim first, them apply epoxy satin black (you could give the wiper arms a freshen up with the epoxy black too - you'll have plenty left over)

I had the same problem. I picked up a set from the salvage yard to practice with, there were 3 trucks in there all had the same problem. The only thing I could find to do was use a torch to burn off all the existing black coating. I tried heating it and peeling it off that didn't work. After using the torch to burn off the coating I wiped them down scuffed them up a little primed and painted. Turned out pretty good I thought.
