    Found this tire size conversion chart to make sense of those archaic size specs:

    Looks like that 8.50/14 max size without alterations would translate to a P225/75R14 in modern P-metric sizing.

    my 1st gen currently has 215/80/15s on it and could go bigger without issue, 2nd gen should fit larger
