    LED tail light options

    Good evening!

Does anyone know of any direct swap LED tail lights for an 88? Recently swapped the headlights and love the look and brightness of the LEDs!! Please share any and all of your suggestions, thanks!

Don't know of any aftermarket LED replacements for the whole assembly, but you can at least replace the bulbs with LED equivalents.

SuperBrightLEDs.com has been my go-to for that with other vehicles, just haven't got around to it for my truck yet.

No market for custom LED tail lights for them. Swapping the globes as SubG has recommended is an easy option but be aware that using LED's in the turn signal circuit will freak the relay out and it'll flash a lot faster. They require a load resistor being installed in conjunction with them or replace the relay with an electronic unit. Guys are building their own custom LED tail lights for anything and everything so if you are inclined, have the time and either possess the skill set or are willing to learn as you go this would be a cool little side project. There are clear lenses available for the max and are pretty cheap -
