Do you need to do the fuel pump for a 95?? Or is it just for the Carb'd engines?

Was wondering - did you need to restrict pressure from the Carter pump to run the weber? I have a Carter that I wasn't going to use on my L200 but I might consider it once I simplify the throttle linkage set up on the 32/36 I have (it had a swiss cheese wheel with an arm tack welded to it - just horrid...)
No. Just get an FI fuel tank.
Geezer, the Carter pump doesn't need a pressure regulator because it pumps at 2-4 PSI, which is what the Weber wants. But you can burn it out if it's not installed within 2 feet of the tank and it's not on a relay. You also want some kind of low oil pressure kill switch so it doesn't pump whenever the key is on in case of an accident. Check out the stickied Weber conversion thread in Performance Mods. There's a great diagram for how to wire it up safely.
O.k. Looks like I have some homework to do then
I know this is an old post but wasn't sure where to ask this. When you remove the old pump after installing an electric did you make or buy the block off plate? If you bought the plate, do you know where I could find one? Thanks
I've made block off plates before out of scraps of alu sheet metal. They are easy enough to make. I haven't seen an aftermarket fuel pump block off plate and I don't know if there's a unit that can be used as a substitute. I did see EGR block off plates to suit our engines (pretty cheap too)
there is a thread on here where someone bought a fuel pump block off plate for a small block chevy that fit perfectly. It is easy to make one, just use the spacer as the template.

Great thread, starting my electric pump install to day.
the block is metric, the stub, t, and sensor/switch is 1/8 pipe thread. the block will need an adaptor to go from the metric thread of the block to 1/8 pipe thread.
