Do you need to do the fuel pump for a 95?? Or is it just for the Carb'd engines?

Was wondering - did you need to restrict pressure from the Carter pump to run the weber? I have a Carter that I wasn't going to use on my L200 but I might consider it once I simplify the throttle linkage set up on the 32/36 I have (it had a swiss cheese wheel with an arm tack welded to it - just horrid...)

No. Just get an FI fuel tank.

Geezer, the Carter pump doesn't need a pressure regulator because it pumps at 2-4 PSI, which is what the Weber wants. But you can burn it out if it's not installed within 2 feet of the tank and it's not on a relay. You also want some kind of low oil pressure kill switch so it doesn't pump whenever the key is on in case of an accident. Check out the stickied Weber conversion thread in Performance Mods. There's a great diagram for how to wire it up safely.

I know this is an old post but wasn't sure where to ask this. When you remove the old pump after installing an electric did you make or buy the block off plate? If you bought the plate, do you know where I could find one? Thanks

I've made block off plates before out of scraps of alu sheet metal. They are easy enough to make. I haven't seen an aftermarket fuel pump block off plate and I don't know if there's a unit that can be used as a substitute. I did see EGR block off plates to suit our engines (pretty cheap too)

there is a thread on here where someone bought a fuel pump block off plate for a small block chevy that fit perfectly. It is easy to make one, just use the spacer as the template.

I have a feeling that the SBC block off is viable for the G54B (gasket looks about the same) No such luck with the G63B

Can anyone share what size or what parts are these as I need to do the same thing and I can't find anything that will fit in the oil pressure hole...everything I try even stuff that claims to be the right size will not fit... its mind numbing... Thanks

Attachment 2477 Attachment 2478 Here is pressure switches, left or top is safety switch for fuel pump other is just oil pressure. I put them up and angled for built in drain back feature didn't want switch(s) just sitting in oil, been working good so far.

the block is metric, the stub, t, and sensor/switch is 1/8 pipe thread. the block will need an adaptor to go from the metric thread of the block to 1/8 pipe thread.
