    Carberated 3.0 what years?

Still waiting on a ECU to test on my 91 D50 3.0 A/T the one I got back might be bad (the fuel pump relay buzzes like a key buzzer) except when it running, key on key off it buzzes. I’m waiting on one to test but it’s been 3 weeks they are trying to locate another one to try out.

So the next step is to change out the complete wire loom (rodent damaged)i if I can locate one or just add a carburetor and manifold and screw the EFI if I’m going to drive the thing. What years would work the best I’d like to go 2 barrel carb for it. What other vehicles used the same 3.0 that could be better?

Looked up a few years it's very confusing not sure what I'm looking at upper/lower manifolds can't see where a carb would even go on the setups I looked at? LOL

AFAICT no 3.0L nor any other variant of the 6G7 V6 engine was ever factory equipped with a carburetor, in these trucks nor in any other application.

That sucks if a new ECU won’t fix it a new wire loom is next after testing a few switches.

I was hoping the older ones had a carb I am trying to simplify things a bit. It runs but needs the battery disconnected when you shut it off not the ideal setup. LOL

Just rewire and fix your electrical. EFI is way better anyways.

That the plan just need to make sure the ECU is not the problem first. I’ve done complete rewire jobs before when changing cabs it’s no big deal just time consuming.
