Hi, happy to find this forum as I'm a proud new owner of a 88' D50 Turbo Diesel. 165k original miles and 45k since diesel rebuild.
The previous owner did the gas to diesel swap and this thing is clean and runs like a dream. I sorta feel like I've won the lottery tbh!
The things I want to do right away, since it needs nothing urgent is hopefully boost the HP a bit and figure out if the "high" engine temps are indicative of this Astron Diesel or something else relating to the rebuild or other cooling system issue. Do I need to start new threads in appropriate Forums for these question? Let me know.
I'm also going to need all season tire recommendations with MN winters in mind (impending doooom).
Any other maintenance advice, regular service checks and oil/diesel additives for preventative measures are welcome!
