    1st gen clock?

For a while i thought that clocks weren't avaliable in first gens, that the coin cubby block off plate wasn't a block off plate. But while going through my manual today it is listed as an option, it even lists a part number (s56528). Has anyone heard of this or seen (let alone owned) a 1st gen with a clock in it??

My '86 Power Ram 50 has a digital clock... green numbers display, 12hr format. I don't think it's all that rare.

I have one in Geronimo, and have 2 more for my other 2 1st gen trucks to install. They are rare, and hard to come by.

Pennyman, your clocks are green digital aren't they? I wonder if the us market ever got the analog clocks like Tortrons??

The Mighty Maxes in 83 and 84 had them - extremely rare.

Check in the parts manual, I have a feeling the clocks are the same as some early sigma? Something anyway

Megazip.com has clocks with part #s for various Mitsubishi vehicles but they are not cheap and so far have not seen photos of the clocks only diagrams... Also, not sure if they have a clock for an L200, have not researched it... I typed "clock" into their search block and numerous results came up...

We didn't get them as Sigmas, they were Plymouth Arrow cars with digital clocks, if they even had a clock option.

Jdm sigma and diamante had an analogue clock, square shape. Possibly get one online, occasionally there's one at a wrecker here but getting pretty thin on the ground (although I know weird people who collect mitsi wrecks)

This has been a fun thread. I suspect that most of us, especially US folk that have a clock, we have the green digital display clock. My green digital clock resets the time very frequently. Sometimes the time displayed goes off entirely but then a while later will come back on usually with the wrong time. Have the rest of you have a similar problem? Is it my clock that has the intermittent short or open contact or is there more likely a gremlin in my dash wiring going to the clock?? Thanks in advance, and happy holidays everyone

Sounds like prolly a sporadic open circuit cutting power to the clock, then when continuity is restored, the clock resets and starts over counting time from there. Could just be a dodgy terminal connector; try removing the clock to unplug and then reconnect it.

Clock was common in Australia. I have two, neither work. Did a bit of searching for a mechanism to put in one but didn't get anywhere
