    What is this?

What is this called? it is circled in red. I noticed on of the wires that is labeled "Ignition SW" is a bare wire. I would like to replaced it with a new one. However, I do not know what is it called?

Hard to tell from your photos, but seems like that may be the fusible links box. Does it look like this?

Seems like the secondary fuse link box. Most of the times they will have a wire of sorts in there. This short piece of wire is about 2 gauges higher in number ( or thinner in diameter ) then the main wires its connected to. This makes it act like a "cheap" man fuse if you will. A chain is only as strong as the weakest link aka the fuse link will blow, burn up first before any major damage get done to the wires its connected to or it is protecting.
If one of them burned the last owner might have simply replaced it with any wire. I do not have the ratings at hand here for what they are supposed to be but you should be able to get them at and decent part store and they should be able to assist in getting the right value also.

Datsun 280Z apparently used the same type of fusible link wires/terminals, and the color of fusible-link wire insulation (thicker than normal wire insulation) follows a common standard, so any of these should suffice as a replacement:
