    Hello From the Midwest

    New guy here, I just got a '95 Mighty Max, its rough. The seller was going to scrap it, I'm glad I got to it before that happened.
    The clutch won't move, the firewall does instead. It not particularly rusty. Is firewall movement a common problem in these trucks.

    That’s probably a bad cable and the pivot arm bushings on the trans are probably stuck

    firewall movement is 'common', from where I sit. Seen a few Mmax with that area torn away. None should be
    Cable fray/gets stiffer and folks drive on. Tear gets progressively worse
    Got my 91 for $150, same issuebecause of that & no gearbox. 2.4 purred like a kitten tho
    I knew I was going starion 5 speed and a hydraulic clutch conversion, so....
