    Very excited

    Hello new friends,
I am to receive my new project, a 1990 D-50 4x4 extra cab tomorrow.
i hope i have joined the right forum that will help me put this truck together.
i have always wanted a small truck, this project if i had to put value to what it needs it probably will never be worth what i put into it and most likely i can find a better starter project for less. but i seen this one and got the bite. currently has a blown motor. but it also comes with a 3.0 24 valve overhead cam engine. the guy says its an easy swap and would give me 50 more horsepower. Has anyone done this swap and could tell me how to do and what pitfalls or super crazy mods will need to be done.

    Thank you,
    Mighty Mike
i have pics so i will ad later

As for that swap, search the forum for MIVEC (Mitsu's variable valve timing for DOHC engines) or the engine codes 6G74 and 6G75, which are different sizes of engine in the 6G7 V6 family like the 6G72 (3.0L SOHC V6) equipped as stock in some of these trucks.

Welcome! I believe you've come to the right place. You guys in the US are lucky with your big engines, hope you enjoy it!
I rescued one of the last roadworthy 1st gen. in Norway in 2019.
Trying my best to keep it alive and well!
