Just going to preface by saying I know nothing in the realm of electricity.

Car was running fine, as I am pulling in to park lights dim up on me under load. Go to start next day, nothing. Not even a click from the starter, zero electrical power. Start checking grounds and connections find blue cable (pictured below) hanging out. Connect it to first logical place I can find (I think i connected it to the EGR valve...), fry ignition fusible link. Picture of where I connected it is below.

Went through the fusible link sticky, doesn't appear to address my problem except for the sizing of the replacement link I am going to have to purchase.

Big questions:

Where the hell does the blue wire go? I see a potential spot near the weber carb, will include photo. Not sure if the wire was ever connected to anything or is even the source of the problem. Any advice/insults are welcome

Notes:
- Battery light has been illuminated on the dash since I purchased the truck
- Battery health is fine
- Alternator functioning properly
