    86 2.0 Starting Issues

Hey guys I’ve reached out before about my truck I’m still having issues with it sadly. Bit of a backstory the MM was driving really well I replaced the carb and installed a aftermarket Weber. I just installed a new head unit and 4 way speakers in it. Everything was fine for a week or so after then one day I parked it and it won’t do anything with the key in the ignition. I checked my fuses and I checked the battery. I was told on here about fuse links off the battery but I can’t find them it seems my battery only has the positive cable running off it straight to the starter. I would appreciate some more advice cause this truck is my daily it’s really hurting me just sitting parked. Thank you!

The fusable link isn't on the starter cable, it's on the other wiring that should be attached to the + battery terminal. There'll be a short black wire , then an inline male/female plug pair, then a green coated piece of wire (this is the fusable link), then another inline plug, and it will then be a white wire into the engine bay loom conduit.

Yep. If everything is dead. It's the fuseable link. It will be burnt. It's normally connected to the + cable at the battery. But someone might have moved it.But it's still the other large wire off the battery or next to the battery at the harness.
