nevermind ... i get why they needed to do all that for clearance now ... they were trying to tuck 20's on that one ... since I don't plan on going with huge rims I don't think I'll have to bother with all that.

Would still like to know about it tho if someone is board enough to fill me in. (i have a feeling that its alot of typing)

Z'ing the frame helps to lay the frame out instead of dragging the front xmember. And I'm guessing they narrowed the frame to tuck rims with an offset that wouldnt tuck.

Z'n just stops the x member from dragging. Narrowing just helps tuck tires.

Mitsus also have a frame that sits higher in the front than the rear when lowered. Z'ing the frame fixes the issue by correcting the rake and raising the x member like others stated

why would you do that instead of drop spindles tho? same result minus getting the cross member further off the ground right?

they do it so the frame lays flat. If you dont Z the front of the frame is up off the ground while the back is on the ground.

damn. I knew I was going to have to modify the frame for my planned bag setup ... I REALLY didn't want to get into cutting the front up tho. :(

I lose.
