Then I gathered 10 nuts and bolts and removed and beveled all the bolt heads. Then marked and drilled trhe plates to factory holes ( I will be making and selling these tranny crossmebers for bout $150 as bolt in with miner grinding)

next I wellded in the cross bar and added the tranny mounting tab. Then I added a notch for the exhaust and its ready for paint.

yea man, all you would have to do (not to make it sound easy) is get under the truck with a dremmel or die-grinder and cut the welded nuts off (4 tacks on each nut to hold them on) on the back of your factory trans mounts and this would bolt right up.

So it was at this point a my best friend was at the house one day and I was showin him progress and he said " since yea got it this far to the frame why don't you go ahead and bag it". Same friend who told me to "drag it" in front of a state trooper. Well this is were th project takes a turn. At first I was keeping cost down and stock components modidfied but u find yourself only being able to do so much tweaking to stock. I base some of my design on the Stock Truck Article in MT but it definetly has my own twist that has now spread to club members rides that I've assisted bagging. Here we go.


Stock driver side


I took this on doin one side at a time starting with the pass. side. I started with a Dominator 2 bag and realized I was gana need a lot of room for it. With that desicion I new I was ganna have to remove and start fresh on the whole upper C arm mount and spring pocket. I did a lot of mocking up back and forth just to keep the original mount locations.
