Ive looked over everything i can think of but it just wont start, i have a 88 mighty max 2.6l. Like it will try to start if i pump gas with the pedal but it wont crank by its self. As soon as i let go of the pedal and stop pumping it just turns over but wont crank. Could it be the fuel pump? Is there a fuse located for it some where? Help would be appriciated..thanks.

Its a manual pump right next to the carb. Check to see that the fuel filter isn't plugged; its located in front of the rear wheel on the drivers side by the tank.
