anyone ever floor patch before?

I have a pretty nasty hole behind my drivers seat and was wondering how i should go about fixing it. Should I get a peice of sheet metal and weld it in, should I get the matching piece of the floor or should I just replace the whole floor?

JimRadford repaired his floor with a stop sign. He had pictures on Mightyd50. If you want my opionion I would cut a patch piece from a donor truck and cut it out. I would replace the cab with a donor cab before I would replace the whole floor. Is the hole near the cab mount?

The bad metal stops an inch or two away from the bolt for the mount.
