Nice truck man. I really like the black one though. So setting the goal there?

I changed the wheels today. I swapped the D50 wheels for the 5 stars which I do not like all that much. My bigger tires on the 14 inch rims look so much better. They fill in the wheel well better and give it a beefier look. Will post pics tomorrow. For now, the truck stays like it is until at least after Christmas. The paint will be a solid color but I don't think I will shave the marker lights like on the black truck. The grill will be painted black and it will have a spray in bed liner. The wheels will be upgraded. I want to keep it mostly stock but will be adding visual enhancements i.e. wheels, different exhaust, and fender flares with a Datsun BRE front spoiler. It is tasteful and looks correct on the truck. I can get billet spacers that will puch out the wheels 2-3 inches which also fill up the flare space nicely. Bonus is that is converts 6 lug to 5 which opens up a better selection of wheels.

So, no cloning the black truck but it will be an agressive looking rig. If it weren't for that damn L18 running so well with only 30k on it, I would be hunting for more power....

You could do "floating" markers instead of shaving them- just weld bolts on the back of the fenders and slide the markers onto them. You'll have to enlarge the holes to match the bolts used- carriage bolts work great.

- I am going to leave the marker lights alone.
- The grill will be painted gloss black.
- A BRE Datsun fiberglass spoiler is on order and will be painted white then installed (this goes over the valance and looks good)
- BMW Ellipsoid H4 Headlights (Theres a local JY with a bunch and is an easy modification)
- I've got a Disc Brake kit on order for safety. It uses Nissan Hardbody Calipers and Honda Passport Rotors. The brackets are custom made.
- The entire truck will be repainted white.

This will be my daily so these will improve driveability and appearance. Next will be upgrade to 1979 280zx EI dizzy and get a GM alternator. They bolt right in and the wiring is simple.

I will buy a seat cover and call it good. My new door panels and dash will go in later....
