I believe they have to be atleast 25yrs old before you can think bout importing them into the states. But its gonna involve lots of paperwork. I'd just see if I could find the cab and bed then swap it onto a frame of your choice and get a homebuilt title.

I import my Strada with the help of a guy in Vancouver,Karim, from Silkroadautos.
You can check his website,www.silkroadautos.com
Two years ago, Québec was like the rest of Canada and you were able to import a car or a truck
from Japan if it was 15 years old or more. Now,in Québec, they change rules cause government don't
want right hand drive vehicle. But in the rest of Canada, nothing has change, all is ok.

This fall,i have bought a white Power Ram 50 sportcab 1989 with a dead engine and a rusty body.It was a spare
parts truck.I've check to change the Strada to left hand drive but it's a job.All is the same but
in reverse,like in a mirror.More,Strada have A/C but the Ram doesn't have.The clutch
system is not the same,Strada hydraulic,Ram by wire.Little things like cluster.Mine is turbo-
diesel(redline to 4500rpm),Ram is gasoline,(redline higher).It's possible but a big job.

i guarantee you could custom fab 2 mighty maxs to look like that pretty easily and a hell of a lot cheaper lol. to import one even if u do pay the 12 grand, your still looking at a ton of man hours just to swap the steeringwheel to the other side. totally not worth it but ill still dream lol

When i got it,it had around 90000km(50000miles?) and it cost me around 13000$ CAN. all included.
For 4 doors,4WD,turbo-diesel and absolutely no rust,i think it's a deal. And more reliable than many new truck.

Look for a toyota, colorado or any quad cab compact pickup,it cost near twice for the same condition and no diesel.
And the frame from a Strada or Ram 50(mighty max) is more solid than many new truck.
